Having managed to find three pages from Leibniz deemed essential by Deleuze in his lectures I have begun to unravel the basics of differential calculus. This does not mean that I understand it but I now know what is going on and why it is important, and if someone throws (x-y)/y = c/e at me I will be able to say what it is in a hopefully ungarbled way. However, I have not yet started my re-reading (re-reading tenuously as I only made it through 2 chapters last time) of 'The Fold' which is necessary for imminent presentation. I have a habit of reading everything else that I shouldn't be reading instead of what I must be reading. At least this time I'm reading Leibniz and work related to Leibniz so I'm getting some grounding before I go and babble about The Baroque.

Another thing being read is Gilbert Simondon's 'L'individuation psychique et collective.' This is problematic due to my very bad French but I have been managing to get some way through it. In a double effort to aid myself and to create some sort of group project I have started a translation/reading group for said text. This should be interesting as it comprises of people with varying degrees of French, varying degrees of Deleuze knowledge, some knowledge biology and some knowledge of psychoanalysis.

I should really apologise for my shitness in relation to answering comments and emails. I'm very sorry, I know I'm useless... I have no excuse.

To make up for it, here is a quote to make you all happy.

"When the very beautiful coincidence of principles and experience occurs, philosophy knows it's moment of happiness, even if it's personally the misfortune of the philosopher. And at that moment, the philosopher says: everything is fine, as it should be."
