Upside-down world

I had planned on making some sort of philosophical post this weekend since I thought I'd be writing my thesis. However, as usual, all plans are ruined when illness decides that my body would be a good body to play with for a while. I woke up yesterday and the world did a little shift right, then left, then down, and down a bit further, and then back up. It was like being sea sick without the sea. I stumbled to the doctors, the bus trip being extremely unplesant as I tried to make my eyes focus on one point so as not to fall of the seat, and it turns out I have an ear infection that has given me vertigo. This isn't really a good time for it since my final deadline is in two weeks and reading anything of any depth is proving extremely difficult.

Apart from the obvious drawbacks of vertigo, such as nausea and feeling like you're drunk without having drunk any alcohol, it is a pretty funny condition. I'm not usually clumsy but I'm stumbling about and finding everything pretty hilarious. Also my habit of forgetting what I'm going to say in the middle of sentences has gotten far worse so I'm having very pleasant moments of staring into blankness while people wait for me to finish speaking.

Hopefully it won't last too much longer. While attempting to scrawl a few words on dynamic ontology and capitalist structures I'm actually feeling all these swirling forces and flows which is giving a new, not necessarily good, spin on my thesis.
